MOUNTING BOOM | 2.4M (95″), LATTICE

Mount your anemometers and wind vanes on third-party lattice towers according to industry best practices.

DETAILS

The 2.4m Lattice Mounting Boom mounts sensors on third-party lattice towers to minimize tower-induced flow distortions. The sensor extension mounts anemometers and wind vanes at a minimum of 20 boom diameters above the horizontal arm, which meets industry IEC 61400-12-1:2017 recommendations for tower and boom offset distances. This boom is still compact enough to ship via UPS—maximizing convenience and affordability.

NRG lattice booms can be purchased as a single boom or as a pair of booms with a fixed angular orientation between them (either 120 degrees or 180 degrees). Versatile tower mounting hardware facilitates secure alignment on the tower and allows the boom to be pivoted downward next to the tower for convenient sensor maintenance. The robust, dual-beam support structure is made from galvanized steel to resist corrosion.

One configuration mounts a single NRG S1 Anemometer (#14027). Three configurations mount one NRG Class 1 AnemometerNRG 40C AnemometerNRG 40H AnemometerNRG 200M Wind VaneNRG 200P Wind Vane, or WindSensor P2546-OPR Anemometer right out of the box (#7372, #7373, #7374). The remaining three configurations mount any WindSensor P2546-OPR Anemometer (#9334, #9335, #9336). To mount a Thies First Class Advanced Anemometer, add a Thies Adapter (#9344) to any WindSensor-compatible boom.

Older versions of this boom had a shorter sensor rise—please contact our sales team to inquire about legacy boom options if you need to match your current equipment.
